Tina was on a class trip, thankfully it didn't include Diana since she wasn't in the exact same classes as Tina. She was settled into her seat listening to music on her phone through headphones and staring mindlessly out the window. It was a nice day, peaceful, she would have liked to have been outside but the trip prevented that, even if it hadn't there would have been school. It was actually nice to get away from her family and forget the troubles she was having with her twin and new developments with her uncle.
She had been staring out the window the whole trip and she hadn't seen anything interesting, it was all very normal. She yawned so she missed the first flash of movement of some idiot planning to hijack the train but the flash of movement that came a second later she caught. She initially thought it was just a wild animal, they were outside the city after all, so she just ignored.
The playlist on her phone reached it's end and the music stopped a few minuets later, she hadn't seen any more flashes of movement and she looked down to fix her phone and get it to play again. Once she did that she leaned her head back and looked up at the roof of the car, she was very board and tired of looking out the window, honestly what could go wrong? At least that's what she thought.

The day had been going alright, the past few weeks were uneventful a thing the conductor was grateful for. Course that didn't mean it wouldn't happen. Monster was taking too well to this peace anymore, the creature was growing impatient and sadly the day had been a bit rough on him. After all he had gotten sick a few days ago and was now recovered from it. That sadly meant he had to be away from the train and forced to rent a room in a apartment within New York, good death it was misery bringing. Still though he put on a smile and treated the passenger's kindly. Placing his hands into his pockets, he walked down the cart though something caught his attention. A girl playing with her phone, not really anything new considering the modern age but it didn't seem like it was fully keeping her attention so he went on over to her.
"Everything alright miss?" Firo asked, giving her a smile.
Things wouldn't be alright for very long though and Monster would most likely get what it wanted.

Tina sighed, thinking about asking her teacher how much longer it would be but changed her mind. She wasn't one to wine about a long trip and usually used the time to think, problem was that her mind wanted her to think about things she didn't want to thing about really. For instance, it wanted her to think about her uncle and how to help him. Honestly she was tired of thinking so she was trying to drown out her thoughts or even fall asleep with music.
When someone approached her she didn't initially see them but looked at them as soon as they spoke, thankfully her music wasn't loud enough to drown everything around her out. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just a bit board is all," She said with a smile. Little did she know that the flashes of movement outside the window behind her were increasing in frequency and the man in front of her would more than likely catch one sooner or later.
"So what's your name?" She asked curious. She was generally kind to everyone but knew the world wasn't always kind back. She would be polite till she had a reason not to be anyway. "Mine's Tina," She said kindly. She knew he was a conductor due to his uniform and hat so she wasn't to on guard.
(I don't know how to exactly start the hijacking so you can do it this post, or give me tips either one)

"Ah, well if you'd like perhaps I could tell you a few thigns about the train? I know to many that the subject of old style passenger trains such as this one are probably not interesting but it could help?" Firo offered.
A flash did cause him to glance though for now he paid it no mind, he was tending to a passenger that came first. Firo took a seat in the chair across from her.
"I'm Firo Sternwall, though please just call me Firo." Firo answered still smiling.
(I'll bring em in but let's just let them chat for a moment.)

"Actually, that sounds pretty cool to me," She said with a smile. At least it got her mind off of her current problems and it could be interesting.
"It's nice to meet you Firo," Tina said as she put away her phone. It was nice to talk to someone she didn't know and hadn't seen before. That she knew she was safe with talking to him added to it. She loved being in situations like this, she didn't particularly care if she was popular but she liked to get to know people and was usually kind unless she was give a reason not to be.
"So what's so fascinating about these old trains to you anyway?" She asked curiously, she would want to know weather he had already given facts on them or not.

"Well appearance is one, they have their own beauty to them." Firo replied. "You can also just relax, you can get to you destination and have luxury of sorts at the same time."
They were always fascinating to Firo, tnese old style trains. Much better tnan the modern ones that were mainly used for cargo or those crowded subway trains. Those were just plain awful. Before he could do anything else, a door swung open to the cart and several men appeared. Guns in hand and Firo's gaze landed on them, passengers began to mutter scared or gasped.
"Alright nobody move! Just do as we say and nobody gets hurt." one of the men said,a sigh left Firo.
"Why do fools insist on tormenting the passengers on my train?" Firo questioned, he could feel Monster stir within.

"Good points I guess. They can get a bit boring but with something interesting to talk about or someone interesting to talk to it isn't bad," Tina replied, it was true what both of them were saying. Train rides were relaxing, they let one sit back and rest. They could also give a person time to think if they needed it, witch Tina didn't need right now.
Tina now saw trains in a new light, more of the way Firo did. It was an interesting view and she could see why he liked trains so much, at least the older ones. She was surprised that her view was so easily changed as before she didn't particularly care for trains. In fact when their teacher had revealed that they would be traveling by train Tina groaned in dismay. Well she was actually glad now
Thought to soon as several men came into the car with guns. Well that made the trip go form boring to bad. Sighing Tina glared at the hijackers. Such idiots, did they honestly think that whatever mutant in the car wouldn't fight back. Little did Tina know that Firo was a mutant himself and he was protective enough for his passengers to make up for a small group of mutants. One thing was for sure she wasn't going to stand by and let one person fight this battle for her. Sitting there she evaluated each of the men. They didn't seem so bright as to try and hijack any train and she was ready to jump into the fight when it started. So what if people found out about her powers, she was protecting people in this case, it's what she wanted to do and she wasn't going to let anyone get hurt when she could help.

"What did you call us?" one of the men questioned, Firo's brown eyes narrowed.
"Idiots, fools, morons. Take your pick it's one of the three." Firo replied. "Honestly, you lot always get turned into the cops and yet you torment my passengers and the train herself. That's not really fair to either of them, course there's also the fact that my nerves to deal with you lot are a good deal fried still so what is it this time?"
The men were honestly surprised by this and a sigh left Firo. Standing up, he removed his conductor's hat and placed it on Tina's head.
"Mind this for me please? Along with this." Firo asked, he removed the cream jackect and placed it on Tina's shoulder's. "There always needs to be someone to tend to the passrnger's which is my task. Therefore getting some answers to this intusion is another task since you gents are a threat to my passengers."
"Sit down old man." one of the men hissed, a sighmleft Firo as he moved away from the seat Tina was in; he gestured for her to stay.
"Old man? I'm not that old." Firo sighed as he stared at the men. "Tell me gents haven't you even heard of the legend following this train wherever she goes? A monster follows her about no matter where she goes, attacking those that dare threaten her passengers. And today that makes you, on the list."
"Shut up!"
"See? I told ya this train was cursed!" a timid voice said, a smile came to Firo's face for a moment.
"Hush it Smiley." the man who called Firo old hissed.
"This is cursed! That is cursed!" Firo taunted, the smile showing with a small bit of red to his eyes.
"Shut up!!" the man hissed at Firo.

Tina smirked when the hijackers didn't seem to take Firo's comment to well. This was going to be interesting.
Tina gave Firo a questioning look as he gave her his conductors hat and jacket. She wasn't sitting out of this! He was telling the truth that his job was to keep his passengers safe and even though she was a passenger she wasn't going to sit back and just let him protect her. She was going to fight. She gently shrugged his jacket off her shoulders and laid it in in the seat with his hat rested on top of it.
She went to stand beside him and crossed her arms over her chest. "I'm not staying out of this," She said to Firo. She wasn't going to let the fact that she was just a teenager and hadn't had her powers long stop her either. She just stood there ready to help Firo fight against the hijackers.
Tina was taken back by Firo's question to the hijackers, she had heard the stories but she hadn't paid much attention to them. She was now curious if Firo was the mutant that was mentioned in that little legend. It wouldn't be a horriable thing, it would at least get rid of the hijackers if he was.
Noticing one of the hijackers were scared and she smirked evilly and used her binding ability to keep him from moving. She could only do it for a few minuets at a time but it would be fun to mess with the men. This was becoming fun. Time to make these guys regret choosing this train to hijack, or any train for that matter.

"Hey! Sit down, both of you right now!!!" the man yelled at Tina.
"I appreciate the good intentions, however I can handle this. It's not the first time these morons showed up." Firo told Tina.
The man known as Smiley, was obviously the timid one who knew something of this train. He had advised against hijacking; in fact he spoke out against many things the others wanted to do. However when they went to take a step back, tney couldn't move at all.
"Uh....g....guys?" Smiley stuttered.
"Not now Smiley." the man responded. "Bothnof you sit down now."
"Just turn around and leave this train then." Firo responded.
"Guys...." Smiley whinned, anmoying the man further.
"We ain't leaving so sit down and shut it!!" the man barked.
"Guys!" Smiley spoke in a higher voice, finally getting movement back but accidently bumped into the man.
A gun went off and Firo could feel a strong deal of pain go through him near the end of his collar bone on the righ. A bullet went through him, causing a hand to grab hold of the spot, a step back, and teeth gritted. Several people screamed and ducked down.
"You told me these were blanks!!!" Smiley wailed.
"Shut up! You don't rob a train wuth blanks!" the man hissed as he struck the timid member. "Now get going!!"
"Told you this was a bad idea." despite this being muttering, a swift kick to the timid man's gut caused them to gasp.
"Get moving, I'll deal with ya later."
The other members left, slowly the slightly damaged Smiley followed. Firo could tell that the poor man was doing this against his desire. Probably forced in some way. The man left and blocked the cart door, thus locking it somewhat.

"I'm not going to stand down," Tina said with more force, making it clear that she had no intention of backing off. Se watched the events play out and as her power over the timid member broke he stepped back and she gasped as she heard the gunshot. Turning to Firo she found he was the one hit. Crap! This could tern bad very quickly.
"I'm so sorry Firo!" She exclaimed as the men left baracadeing the door and locking it, it would be easy to undo with her powers though.
Tina decided to deal with the door as soon as she was sure that Firo was okay so after a moment of decision she turned again to the conductor. "Are you okay?" She asked timidly. She was worried that he wasn't and she would have someone's blood on her hands.
Tina felt that Firo getting shot was all her fault though, she was the one who had bound the guy in place and if she hadn't he wouldn't have stepped back making the gun fire. Her eyes were wide and she was even more determined now to help get those guys arrested or even killed. If the legend that went with this train was Firo than she might just let him rip the criminals to shreds, at least one of them. She would help protect the timid one to some extent though, he didn't seem willing to do this and she wondered if he had been blackmailed with something. It was obvious that he was doing this by force and would rather be somewhere far away, that was the only reason she would help him. The other two were at the Beast's mercy, and from the stories he didn't have much mercy.

Firo honestly wished she would've stand down, this was his train and his mission. He knew she was just trying to help but still. She needed to listen for her own good. His eyes were quickly taken over by red and the red liquid leaving his wound started to coat his hand that was pressing against it.
"You can make it up by staying here, keep the people in this car." Firo instructed.
Monster was showing in it's own way, not only by eye color but by his personality. He was being a tad harsh possibly considering Tina was young. Though could you blame him? He had tried to get her to sit down. The door wouldn't be a issue, moving away from where he was, he went to the door and he grasped hold of the handle. Giving a forceful push, he got what was holding it shut to budge and thus the door opened. He looked over his shoulder at Tina, the red eye probably scary looking.
"I mean it, stay here." Firo told her before leaving.

Tina really did want to help, she hated the idea of sitting by and doing nothing if she could help. She looked down as she realized that at the moment she was only making it worse. She was looking down so she didn't notice his eyes changing to red.
Tina simply nodded, she didn't want to cause any more harm when she only meant well. To her she just got an innocent harmed, shot to be exact.
All things considered Tina didn't think Firo was being harsh at all. He was hurt and a little mad probably since she was unwilling to stand down and that got him hurt. She peeked up at his shoulder not surprised to find it bleeding through the fingers of the hand that he was holding against it. She winced, she really messed up.
She didn't look up far enough to see his eyes till he spoke again. When she looked him in the eyes she ghasped, her eyes widening. "O-okay," she stammered, she was a bit afraid of the eyes. They meant everything about this train was true, and Firo was was the beast they came down to. Those hijackers bit off more than they could chew this time.
With Firo gone Tina turned to the car of frightened people. "Don't worry they'll be dealt with easily I'm sure everything will be fine,"She said in a calming voice. Honestly she would probably only stay here for a short while then go find Firo and the hijackers to see if he needed help.
(I'll probably have her come find him next post)

"The monster will get them, it'll appear from beneath the train and slaughter them. It always does." a old woman cautioned the frighten passengers and Tina. "It won't leave till it's soaked in crimson blood from claws to the bones that stick out of it!!!"
No doubt a creepy woman to some. Course she had some experience. The man wete in ome of the other cars. The one in charge was giving the one called Smiley a harsh beating.
"You know, I'm really sick of your lot." Firo said, making himself known and spooking em. "I finally got him to relax too, you know how hard that is?"
"What are you going on about?" the one in charge question, red eyes were directed to the timid one.
"You, clearly you wanted no part of this. Go hide in a different car somewhere."
A confused expression came to Smiley's face. Though he nodded and took off. Causing the one in charge to turn their gaze to em.
"Hey!! Get back..." the man started.
"Boss!" the other guy exclaimed, causing the boss to turn their gaze to Firo.
Firo had charged and the man's instinct caused him to pull the trigger. Bullets hitting Firo's stomach but he ended up grabbing the man the collar and slam em into the back of some seats. Under the clothes, the hard scales formed on his stomach and chest, protecting him.
"I'm really sick of this....and so is he." Firo growled.
The sound of the gun could be heard in the car were Tina was. Causing a few startled cries.
"Oh that's bad, guns will only help monster come. You threaten antone on this train your doomed. That goes for the conductor too, Monster will help." tne old woman said.

Tina wasn't so sure about it coming from under the train but she was sure that the beast would come to deal with the hijackers. She did find the woman a bit creepy but she tried not to say anything to her or the other passengers that might freak everyone out more.
"Okay listen for a moment! Since you all know the legends of this train I am sure most of you are unwilling to follow me. I caution you to stay here, I have to go and try to help, I can't just sit here feeling helpless," She said ending her last statement by opening the door separating the cars and heading on her way to find Firo. As she raced through the cars to find Firo she searched the cars for anything that the hijackers might have planted to cause more commotion, what she found instead astounded her.
She found the man the others had called Smiley earlier. "Hey! What are you doing here?" She asked, her voice was hard as rock and ice cold, meaning she wasn't acting all to friendly. She was glaring at the man in front of her, thinking about using her abilities again and if he tried to run she would, at least it would make him stay still for a few minuets longer and as mad as she was probably a little longer than normal. She wasn't going to let him off as easily as Firo did, she wouldn't let him off easy, weather he wanted to be there or not.
